ABOUT ME
ARCHITECT / ENGINEER / CREATOR / ARTIST /
MY STORY:
"Firmitas, Utilitas, Venustas"
“De architectura, libri decem”,
Vitruvius
I’m an architect with over 25 years of experience in design. My professional path in architecture practically began during my studies — but before that, my first design passion was fashion: creating and sewing.
My passion for creating good and functional spaces, together with countless conversations with clients, led me to share my knowledge and experience with you here, on this site with a blog.
The variety of projects and clients I’ve worked with — each with their own specifics — makes the dry numbers below look impressive. But this isn’t really about square metres; what counts is quality and client satisfaction, which gives me the energy to keep going, the joy I take in my work, and in what I create.
There is never just one solution — the creative process always generates many possibilities. The architect’s job is to analyse them and select what to present to the client, and to choose together the final versions and the way they fit together.
There is, of course, another side beyond the strictly professional and engineering one — the “after-hours” side I try to protect and keep alive for relaxation and recovery …
Among other things because this profession needs it: a blend of creativity, technique, engineering, artistry — even though we are still far from the versatility of Leonardo da Vinci and others like him, even surrounded by all our “smart gadgets”.
